Helicopters – Leonardo AW189, Airbus Helicopters EC120, EC135
Helicopter maintenance is an integral part of AEI’s capability, strengthened by our acquisition of HeliBuddy at the end of 2024. This partnership combines AEI’s certified maintenance expertise with HeliBuddy’s specialization in Airbus Helicopters, enabling comprehensive support for the Leonardo AW189 and Airbus Helicopters EC120 and EC135 models.
What we do
We provide scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, component replacement, functional tests, vibration measurement and rotor or engine balancing. Through HeliBuddy, we also support painting, weighing and detailed technical inspections for Airbus Helicopters. AEI® performs certified maintenance on the Leonardo AW189 under its EASA Part 145 approval, while HeliBuddy handles full maintenance for the Airbus Helicopters EC120 and EC135.
Approvals and certificates
Maintenance activities are covered by AEI’s EASA Part 145 approval and type-specific authorizations for the Leonardo AW189, supported by foreign aviation authority approvals for aircraft registered outside the EU. HeliBuddy operates under its own EASA Part 145 approval (CZ.145.0127), issued by the Czech Civil Aviation Authority. All work is performed by certified technicians following approved maintenance data, operator programs and internationally recognized safety and documentation standards.
